The Yoga Journey:
When Discipline becomes Devotion
Transformation takes place little by little, piece by piece.
Not all at once, but slowly.
When we embark on a new journey whether it be a new hobby or workout routine, and we decide we want to commit to growing, we choose to be disciplined.
Discipline is not easy or pretty. True discipline means setting your emotions aside no matter how you’re feeling. It means showing up on the good days, the bad days, the easy days, and the hardest days.
When we embark on the journey of yoga and cultivate a regular practice a few times a week or even daily, we are bound to witness extraordinary transformation. Because yoga brings the mind, body, and spirit into union, yoga becomes more than just a workout. It becomes more than just a place to help slow our minds down. It becomes a way of connecting with the best version of ourselves. The body feels good, the mind feels calm, and the spirit feels reset.
“Devotion means a deep, strong feeling of love, loyalty, or commitment”
You are bound to experience wonderful changes even just a week into practicing.
Suddenly, it is not longer discipline you are choosing, but devotion. Your love grows for the practice, for yourself, and for humanity. Something shifts in your heart, body, and mind. This is the power of yoga.
